  5. I kind of didn't want to have the guidelines post as I believe this is commonly understood and part of being in a clan / social atmosphere. But for the sake of clarity, here we go. All members are requested to maintain civility and decorum while using the forum keeping in mind the following guidelines: Respect everyone regardless of their skill level (everyone started somewhere, please don't use words like tomato, noob, other aggressively offensive words : if at all you have to criticize a player : he was a bad player, enemy team was bad, that will suffice, no need to use any offensive words). Keep the chat clean and acceptable to everyone (including women, there are women WoT players as well). Stay away from controversial topics (religion, politics) if it makes somebody else uncomfortable or discuss privately with a limited group of interested people (Teamspeak / Discord channels should do). No marketing / other promotions of any product / service not-related to World of Tanks (online betting, etc,.) and those that violate game rules (illegal mods, etc,.). Feel free to discuss latest tools / information sources / videos related to WoT, those discussions are encouraged. I appreciate your cooperation in keeping the discussions clean. If you do see any content that isn't appropriate, please report here in the forum or in the discord and I will do my best to keep the forums clean. I have set up the spam defense settings to be a bit forgiving (to avoid false flagging genuine users based on IP address range). If you do see any obvious spam posts, please report it and I will clear it out.

  10. Hello Everyone, In addition to the LT replays, I am also looking for MT Replays : T-34-85M and Progetto 46. Currently the Camo and Vision Mechanics : Learning Pathway looks like this: Type 64 --> AMX 13 57 --> LT-432 --> T-100 LT. And for players who find Type 64 is too rough to begin with, an alternative Learning Pathway using medium tanks for familiarization with the game in general and to explore maps (MT's can drive and flex to other flanks leading to better map exploration than heavy tanks, IMHO). Alternative Learning Pathway: Medium tanks: T-34-85M --> Progetto 46. T-34-85M being a very strong Tier 6 MT offering a good combination of speed, firepower and armour (decent turret and hull can bounce a few at angle) and camo + spotting range makes it a good alternative, particularly, less stressful alternative to Type 64 as the T-34-85M can survive longer than a Type 64, can take a few hits allowing the player to make a few mistakes and still have decent mobility and vision to explore the maps and use the Camo and Vision mechanics. Progetto 46 being a very strong Tier 8 MT has a good combination of firepower and vision (though Bourrasque is much better at camo and vision, it has a much higher skill floor, Progetto IMHO is workable for players that are beginning to learn Camo and Vision mechanics). Progetto 46's flexible auto-reloader and mobility + vision allows the player to explore the map and use Camo and Vision mechanics when sniping / late-game spotting. Feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions on the LT + MT Learning Pathways for Camo and Vision Mechanics.

  12. Hello Everyone, I have just begun to setup this forum and I would like to get your ideas, suggestions and feedback on the forum setup. SSO (Single Sign on) with WGID is planned in the future. As far as theme goes, the current theme has both light and dark modes (dark mode being easy on the eyes and dark mode is the default mode). Do share what you think about the current forum setup. Thank you for your inputs, I appreciate it a lot.
  13. Hello Everyone, I am currently looking for Type 64 / AMX 13 57 / LT-432 and T-100 LT replays. The idea is, for players learning Camo and Vision Mechanics, Type 64 provides an excellent learning platform. Type 64's class leading view range and excellent top speed (81 maxed out), should allow players to explore the maps by driving around at high speed, outspot pretty much all same tier LT's and all other tanks. Almost all Tier 6 lights have no armour, so Type 64's paper armour doesn't matter much. Tier 6 matches are relaxed for a light player and with the Type 64 being the best in terms of vision and top speed allowing it to outspot everything else (except Tier 8 LT's), that should provide a comfortable learning platform for players. Then as the player gets more experienced with the Type 64 (around 200-300 matches), they can slowly start trying higher tiers. AMX 13 57 should be a good step up in theory, although I haven't tested out how good AMX 13 57 would be for learning Camo and Vision as it has a clip and can use aggressive hit and run tactics that aren't available to regular straight loading LT's. LT-432 is an excellent choice at Tier 8 due to it's combination of survivability (decent armour for a LT, low profile), fast acceleration, good top speed. For players learning Camo and Vision, survivability is important as they will be making mistakes and should live to make another move in the same match. As Tier 8 matches bring the increased pressure, LT-432's survivability should make it a good learning platform. Purposely avoiding ELC EVEN 90 as it has way too much camo and for a player learning Camo and Vision, ELC EVEN 90 will give them a false sense of camo (as it will be hard to adjust from playing with 56 camo to lower camo LT's, on the other hand, can easily adapt from Type 64 to AMX 13 57 to LT-432 to T-100 LT as they have increasingly higher camo). ELC EVEN 90 sits in it's own league in terms of camo being higher than even Tier 10 lights. And ELC EVEN 90 has lot lesser survivability compared to LT-432, so I think the LT-432 would be a good choice. T-100 LT is an excellent choice at Tier 10 as it continues the strengths and playstyle of LT-432. Similar to LT-432 at Tier 8, the T-100 LT has good survivability (decent armour, low profile), fast acceleration, good top speed. Although Manticore can be slightly better on theoretical stats, I believe T-100 LT's survivability will come in handy as Tier 10 matches are the highest pressure scenarios for a LT player. So, currently the Camo and Vision Mechanics : Learning Pathway looks like this: Type 64 --> AMX 13 57 --> LT-432 --> T-100 LT. (Reasoning for selecting these two MT's typed out in detail in the MT Replays Contribution subforum). Feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions on the suitable lights for learning Camo and Vision Mechanics.
  14. <add the Google docs / Visme embed link here later> I am preparing a list of topics for Camo and Vision Mechanics. I would like your suggestions / input on the list and if there's something that's not on the list and it's related to Camo and Vision, do share it here. For ex: If there's a specific camo trick you use to stay dark and it isn't here, you can share it. Thank you for your inputs, I appreciate it a lot.
